What happens on the day I arrive?

We will meet you at the airport, transfer and accommodate you in a hotel or apartment. Our complete welcoming team is there be ready to show you around the facilities and answer your questions. Next will be medical consultation with a doctor after your several hours resting or next day (depends time of arriving).

   

Can I talk to a doctor before my stay?

As soon as we receive your completed form of our “Questionnaire” we will contact you and discuss everything what you want to know regarding medical issues. We can arrange doctor answer your questions by e-mail. Please send us your request via our “Questionnaire” contact form.

   

What is the difference between the budget and standard program?

There differences are only in type of accommodation. Standard program includes accommodation in 4-5 star spa hotel or in villa.  Budget program includes accommodation in 2-3 hotel or in apartment.  So Standard program is more expensive then Budget program.

   

What services are included in the price?

Price includes cost of accommodation in comfortable apartment or 3-4 star hotel plus cost of the water-fasting, caloric restriction program with re-feeding. It means whole array of services: medical consultation, the basic laboratory examination (during fasting Days), fasting provisions in the form of various kinds of water and tea, fresh juices and vegetable dishes. The various activities and the use of our sport facilities are also included in the packages. In our weekly program included several massages, buts its value depends on how long you stay. How much weight will I lose due to fasting program?

Very approximately 4-5 kg per week. It is difficult to say exactly how much weight you will lose. Weight loss varies and depends on many factors such as your age, weight and build, gender, nutritional habits, the amount you exercise and your ability to relax. On average, a typical faster loses approximately 300 – 500g per day during a water-only fast. In a first few days, the loss may approach 1000 – 600g per day. This can decrease to approximately 300 – 200g per day in the later stages of a fast. From day two onward, the body begins utilizing fatty tissues for energy, thereby conserving as much muscle tissue as possible. 

   

Will my metabolism slow down after fasting and you-you effect works to gain back more weight?

Metabolic rate fluctuation is natural process.  It is depends on our physical activity and  physiological needs. Periodical weight loss and gain is usual in a nature. Our body like one of life form store fat when nourishment is available and live on fat deposits during times when food is less. When we fast, our metabolic rate IN-significantly slows down because we are not spend energy to consuming food and our regular activities slow down.  When we start to eat and activity increase, our metabolic rate slowly restores according our physiological needs. We only need to control energy intake does`nt exceed energy expenditure. Will you gain back weight or not depends on how well you prepare yourself for a healthier lifestyle after fasting. Optimal approach is to combine healthy diet with a regular aerobic exercise and strength-training program. In addition, fasting makes it easier to change to a new healthier lifestyle, which can have a positive impact on your weight in the long term. What happens after the fasting days?

After fasting days follow re-feeding days. Re-feeding period duration equal to fasting days period. It is starts with diluted juices, after non-diluted juices. Next shredded row and slowly stewed vegetables and fruits with piecemeal bringing cereals, oils, fish and poultry according with persons basic diet. Daily Caloric intake will gradually increase. Will I feel a sense of hunger and food cravings?

Fasting is not starving. Fasting is different from starving so the body has enough nutrient reserves to maintain nutritional needs during fasting. Starvation can occur in case if you body underweight. In a first few days possible some hanger or food cravings attacks. They are short, not powerful, and disappear after switch of your attention from the food.  Sense of hunger is triggered by the activity of certain brain cells within the “appetite center” of the hypothalamus which respond to the blood glucose level. Usually on a third day of water fasting, the body begins to burn fat as a fuel, and the appetite center becomes temporarily desensitized to blood glucose. This makes it possible to fast without a gnawing hunger and most people surprisingly discover little or no desire for food.

   

Can I work during my stay?

During the fasting you will have periods of weakness (which is normal) and periods of energy and euphoria. When you are feel weak is better not to work and try walk, sleep and rest. When you fell energy you can work and exercise. You may work at hotel or apartment. We have very fast digital WiFi connection in our apartments and in a room of the hotel. (In a hotel it will cost additionally) 

   

Can I spend just a weekend for my program?

To receive the full benefits of therapeutic fasting, we recommend you visit us for at least a week, or 10 days. That is the time you need for a digestive rest day before you fast, for the fast itself, and for the re-feeding phase after breaking your fasting.
If you would like take advantage of our other activities (thermal spa, massages, fitness) while enjoying our detox and whole food cuisine with Low Calorie intake, you may of course visit us for a weekend program or shorter time.


   

What is the difference between water fasting and juice fasting?

During a water fast, only water is consumed. During a juice fast, any variety of fruit and vegetable juices are consumed.  People detoxify and heal more quickly with a water fast than with a juice fast. This is because with a water fast, your digestive passageway and organs are able to rest completely, allowing for all of your energy to be used for cleansing and repair of damaged tissues. With a juice fast or a cleansing diet of fruits and vegetables, your body must use energy to digest nutrients, leaving less available energy for detoxification and healing. Another significant difference is that more fat tissue is burned during a water fast, as your body must rely exclusively on fat reserves to supply its energy needs after the first 1-3 days of water fasting. Your body stores the bulk of incoming toxins in your fat reserves. As these reserves are burned for energy during a fast, any stored toxins will be released into your circulation, to be eliminated through various eliminative channels like your urine and respiratory tract. This mechanism of detoxification also occurs with juice fasting, but at a slower pace.  All of this considered, both types of fasting can be used with effectiveness, depending on your wishes and goals.

   

Does supervisors and assistants experience in a fasting and how long?

What should I bring with me?

However, you should bring with you the following things:
* comfortable clothes for everyday wear

* sports shoes
* sports wear
* bathing wear
* flip flops
* warm clothes (depending on the clinic and time of year: sweaters, socks, scarf), hiking gear and shoes
* recent medical reports as well as prescribed medication in sufficient quantities (or a prescription from your personal doctor)
* an elegant garment just in case (e.g. concerts, theatre)
* books you have long wanted to read
* umbrella or rain gear
* your diary (optionally)


   

Do all rooms have internet connection and TV?

We have TV and very fast digital WiFi connection in our apartments and in a room of the hotel. (In a hotel internet and some TV programs will cost additionally)

   

Does fasting destroy heart muscle?

The body’s stores of glycogen and glucose last only a very few hours after fasting started. Than glycogen stores are depleted less vital structures such as fat and muscle protein are used. But even in death due to starvation, proteins in the central nervous system appear to be spared. If the person do program methodically correct, fasting improves the performance capacity of the muscles, including the heart muscle. If you do a supportive exercise and fitness program that minimize muscle loss. Particularly important to do exercises in the first week, when the consumption of protein is high. After second week  consumption of protein drops 3-4 times. Muscle tends to use mainly fatty acid and saves the ketones for use by the brain. It should be noted that protein is still a required source of energy and physical activity should be done during the whole period of fasting program.

   

What forms of therapy are possible in addition to therapeutic fasting?

Can fasting cure specific conditions?

Fasting is neither a cure nor a treatment. It is a natural, physiological process that is oftentimes the most appropriate way to establish the conditions under which the body is best able to heal itself and recuperate from illness. The ideal time to fast, the time when we can achieve the most benefit, is when we receive the natural signals from the body to do so. (The loss of appetite that occurs when we develop an acute illness is a good example, especially when it is accompanied by fever, chills, or fatigue.) These are the times when we will secure the greatest benefits from fasting. Our body is telling us to stop eating, keep warm, and rest until we feel better. Many people who suffer with chronic illness have long passed the acute stage of disease when the body signaled them to fast. They also need to set aside an arbitrary period of time to fast.
